WIMS shows how files and folders use your storage.
Data used by the app
WIMS reads file and folder names, paths and sizes, and drive capacity information to build the storage map. Paths and access errors may contain personal information. Storage scans read metadata, not document contents.
If you choose to copy a path or the issue list, WIMS writes it to the clipboard. Renaming and deletion are performed by Windows only when you request them; deletion requires confirmation.
Storage and your control
Scan results remain in memory unless you save or export them. Your language preference is stored locally.
Saved scans (.wims) and CSV exports contain recorded names, paths and sizes and are stored where you choose, until you delete them. WIMS adds no encryption to these files. Protect them using your storage location's permissions. Uninstalling the app does not remove your saved scans or exports.
The developer does not receive your scan data. You choose what to scan, save, export or delete.
